The Bris (Circumcision)

The Prep
Before the day of the Bris, we will discuss the procedure in as much detail as you - the parent(s) - want, including which medications we use to make the process as painless and comfortable for your little Tzadik as possible! We will talk about the benefits and risks that are associated with any circumcision, as well as the measures that I will take to minimize risks.

The Procedure
I will ensure that the surface we use is completely clean and sanitary. Your baby will be prepped before we start so the process can proceed smoothly. I will make sure I know who you have assigned to do each part of the Bris before we start; including but not limited to sandek, kvatter, and Brachos. You can be as involved as you would like during the procedure and stand as close or as far as you want.

The After Care
Once the Bris is over and your baby is comfortable, we will discuss in detail how to care for and clean the wound so it will heal quickly and successfully. You will be given clear written instructions, and I will confirm your understanding before I leave. I will also follow up with you within 24 hours, and as needed. Of course, you may reach out to me with any concerns at any time.
